PHILANTHROPY

Philanthropy

Mark Davis believes that philanthropy is a key component of responsible corporate citizenship. Our bequests are normally made in the form of Mark Davis jewelry provided for auction. Monetary donations are made as well. Our charitable giving is focused primarily on environmental issues, health and medical research and women's economic empowerment causes. We receive many requests throughout the year and are required to be very selective in reviewing applications. We welcome applications that adhere to our Giving Guidelines outlined below.

Exclusions  Our corporate philanthropic policies restrict us from providing support to political or religious organizations. Additionally, are unable to consider requests for personal assistance, personal scholarships, stipends, grants or other forms of individual support. Any organization that operates parallel to our current partnerships is not eligible to apply. We work directly with the organizations that serve the causes we are committed to support.

Tax-Exempt Status  Mark Davis will only consider requests from organizations classified as IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit or the equivalent in your country. Preference is given to organizations located in areas where the company has business interests. This does not necessarily preclude organizations located in, or focused on, geographical areas where we are not present.

Compliance with Federal, State, and Local Laws  We insist that organizations receiving contributions be in compliance with the requirements of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act, Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and other federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Commitment to Diversity, Inclusion and Nondiscrimination  We require recipients of our charitable gifts to have a clear policy not to discriminate against any employee, client or applicant for assistance because of gender, color, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, pregnancy, covered veteran status, protected genetic information and political affiliation.

Application ProcessAll grant requests must be made at least 16 weeks before the fundraising event or grant disbursement. Organizations are eligible to submit only one request per calendar year. Organizations requesting a charitable gift should be headquartered in the United States or have a substantial presence here. To learn more about our remaining philanthropy budget for the year and to begin the application process, please email philanthropy@markdavis.com. Please be certain that your organization meets the criteria listed above.
